One would be very hard-pressed to assemble a finer jazz piano--vocal combo in New England. Fred is the reigning jazz piano king in these environs and beyond – and a masterful reed wizard as well. Sabrina has all the right vocal stuff to lure you in and take you away on a magical mystery tour. Call early.
When Alan's not helping direct the radiation oncology section of the Norris Cotton Cancer Center, he's honing is considerable piano chops. Alan's range and imagination should delight those who choose to come check him out at the Canoe Club.
Cormac’s trek to Hanover from Southern Maine is one of the biggest deals for the Canoe Club in the past few years. Rooted in rural New England since the age of ten, Cormac grew up in teetering towns. His “creative” existence in these hardscrabble towns inform his songs with a wistful wisdom. He sings the poetry of real life with a silky baritone voice and just enough grit – as well as a marvelously wicked sense of humor. He has been invited 3 times to the stage of the Newport Folk Festival, and twice on NPR’s "Mountain Stage" Live radio show.

Jonathan Kaplan, aka the Doctor, is a classically trained rock and blues pianist (also a lapsed farmer) cranking out tunes in the the classic folk/blues tradition. Jonathan Kaplan has performed throughout the Upper Valley as a solo pianist and as part of a dynamic duo with Alan Greenleaf. Although classically trained, his style is bluesy with jazz innuendo and plenty of improvisation.. Often, Jonathan will sit down and just play, encompassing music from Dylan to the Dead, Broadway to the Beatles; a virtual one-man jam band.
